Our team designed an automatic pill dispenser to aid the elderly and patients with short- or long-term memory issues. Patients with conditions such as Alzheimer’s often forget when to ingest which medications, which can be solved by an automated dispenser that releases the correct medications at the right times to ensure all pills are taken properly.

The system included a physical dispenser with multiple compartments and a mobile app interface to notify caregivers when it’s time to refill. This project demonstrated innovation in healthcare technology, combining hardware, software, and user-centered design.
